RATES
$30 per night (includes two adults and two children; a maximum of 6 people)
Each additional adult: $5/night
Each additional child: $3/night
Adult: age 16 and older
We do offer firewood for sale.
Check-in: 12pm or later

Cancellation Policy:

All reservations must be paid in full when the reservation is made.

One night of the reservation is non-refundable (and any associated processing fees).

Cancellations made before noon one week prior to the arrival date qualify for a refund of any payments made excluding the non-refundable one night and any associated processing fees.

Cancellations made after noon one week prior to arrival up to noon on the arrival date will be charged 50% of the remaining balance (excluding the non-refundable one night and any associated processing fees).

Campers who do not cancel by noon on the arrival date will be charged for the full reservation and any associated processing fees.
Transparency Statement:
We are a campground located in the Appalachian mountains, which provides amazing landscapes but it also means we are very rural and the infrastructure is not available to provide wifi. Additionally, cell signal is spotty; although, it has been improving in the past few months.

Group Camping
The Hitching Post Campground offers group rates to non-profit organizations. Reservations are required and must be made over the phone (828-625-1138), not through the reservation system, Firefly.
Non-Profit Organization Groups of Twenty People or More: Site fee will be waived and the charge will be $6 per person.
Non-Profit Organization Groups of Less Than Twenty People: One site fee will be charged in addition to $6 per person.
